If your result shows detected, know what protective steps to take to prevent others from getting sick.

If your result shows not detected, you probably were not infected at the time your sample was collected. The test result only means that you did not have COVID-19 at the time of testing. Continue to take steps to protect yourself.

The OraRisk® COVID-19 RT-PCR test is greater than 99% sensitive and 100% specific to the SARS CoV-2 virus.

The clinical sensitivity is 100% and the clinical specificity is 100%. At this time there is no knowledge regarding analytical specificity and sensitivity due to not having pre- Covid-19 samples to compare to.

Please contact your primary care provider with any clinical questions about your test results. Tell him or her that you had a COVID-19 test and the result was positive. Your primary care provider will give you instructions on what to do next and if you need to be seen. The COVID-19 test is not a substitute for medical advice. The results of the test should not stop you from seeking medical attention should you feel you need it. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 and notify the operator that you have or think you have COVID-19.
