Kim Miller has recorded a highly informative video on pregnancy and periodontal disease. Among the central points in this discussion is that healthy gums do not bleed. Kim makes the point that periodontal bacteria can enter the mother\u2019s bloodstream, cross the placental barrier and potentially have an adverse effect on the developing fetus. There is also a recommendation to have bacterial testing to identify the presence or absence of periodontal pathogens, providing important information for pregnant women.<\/p>\n
Kim provides a considerable amount of information in a concise, lively manner. Her main points are conveyed clearly and sincerely. I highly recommend you view the video and tell your colleagues as well.
