Introducing Kenko Health, an Exciting Partnership With OralDNA for EU Logistics

While wandering around the IFM AIC in San Diego in June 2025, I stumbled upon a stand with a company that immediately piqued my interest! The stand belonged to OralDNA® and I was very excited to meet them! In my practice and teaching, I have always advocated for oral health as being a driver of systemic health and this lab ticked all my boxes.

At the time, I was busy recruiting laboratories to add to a new diagnostic dispensary I was in the process of setting up called Kenko Health (Kenko means “health” in Japanese). I had worked in the lab testing field in the UK and Ireland for 8 years and realised that there were gaps in the functional tests being offered to the practitioners in these regions, especially around oral health. I have also always been an early adopter of information in functional medicine and love being challenged by new ideas and tests, so I am drawn to new ideas. I was surprised to learn that although OralDNA has been established for over 20 years, it still isn’t widely recognized or utilized in the UK and Ireland. This is no “new idea,” it just hasn’t been made available to the market I had worked in. I was determined to change this and hence the conversation was started.

We quickly discovered that we are aligned on many levels. We both want to provide preventative, predicative and actionable tests to the practitioners practicing functional medicine in the UK and Ireland. We both work on the premise that collaboration is always better than competition in this industry. We are both working to ultimately benefit the outcomes of the patients.

So the stars were aligned and OralDNA became one of the first labs we confirmed as part of our now extensive catalogue on Kenko Health.  If you are a practitioner in the UK or Ireland and would like to learn more about Kenko Health, please visit www.kenko-health.com or reach out to support@kenko-health.com and will be happy to chat!
